Admission & Examination procedure:
Admission to first year would be made on the basis of
  • Admission will be made strictly on merit basis and according to the rules framed by Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai.
  • Reservation will be operated as per Government rules.
  • Once the student is admitted in this institute through the admission procedure students has to fill Registration Form for Registration of Courses, which are
    TERM EXAMINATION:
    a) Issue of Examination Forms:
    Examination forms will be issued to the students for filling in required information as per the schedule. The same will be collected back along with stipulated fees of examination.
    b) Time table for conduct of examinations:
    Timetable for conduct of examinations will be prepared on the basis of schedule of term. Practical examination will be conducted after written examination for all courses is over. Duration of theory papers will be as mentioned in curriculum document.
    Examination Cell:
    Students with additional qualification are eligible for exemption credits as per norms decided by the equivalence committee of the institute from time to time provided the candidate applies for the same in the prescribed form.
    For satisfying some personal needs of students allied courses are introduced such as Communication skills, Yoga, Vegetable Carving, Music etc. These courses will provide additional competencies / skills in related areas.
    CREDITS:
    Credit is defined as one hour learning work done by the students per week throughout the semester, as theory, practical or term work or extra curricular work as part of the teaching scheme prescribed for the course.
    Credit of a course is the number of hours for theory plus number of hours for practical / drawing.
    Total number of credits to be earned to complete a three year programme is 180.
    PROGRESSIVE TEST:
    Recognizing the importance of continuous assessment, progressive tests have been recommended for the theory component. General guidelines for conduct of progressive test as laid down and approved are as follows:
    Guidelines for conduct of progressive test:
    • There shall be three progressive tests for all courses for which progressive tests are prescribed in examination scheme of respective programmes.
    • Every test will be of 20 marks and one hour duration.
    • Average of best of two test marks shall be considered as marks scored by the candidate in progressive tests.
    • The tests will be conducted as per the programme issued by Examination Cell.
