Training Methodology Highlights:
Since the thrust in on acquiring technical skills & to be at the middle management level, the curriculum input is backed by
1) Training Center – No full time staff is appointed for training center. The teaching faculty is engaged in managing training center along with the students.
2) Cafeteria Project – Students of second year are given an oppotrunity to run cafeteria on rota basis. Every batch works for one week. From 1st January the cafeteria is being run by the trainees of the Training Scheme for Physically Challenged with the support by DHMCT students & staff.
3) Events / Theme – 1) Valentine Day Celebration 2) Pot Pourri Festival
3) Karavali & Hyderabadi Festival 4) Wine Stomping at Narayangaon
5) World Tourism Day 6) International Baker’s Day.
The MSIHMCT has been celebrating World Tourism Day since 1996 with an aim to popularise and create awareness about Tourism in our state. Mr. Hemant Phadke, Regional Manager, M.T.D.C. was the chief guest this year. All students of the institute took active part in the celebrations which included cultural programmes and the famous play “Janta Raja” enacted by the DTT students. An exhibition showing the culture of Maharashtra was also put up.
4) Outdoor Catering - Students after the college hours are encouraged to participate in ODC
activities through college in Four & Five Star Hotels in Pune
5) Laundry –The institute laundry is a self-sufficient unit & equipped with latest machinery for dry-cleaning. The laundry unit gives students hands on experience in learning the laundry techniques and managing the House Keeping Dept. functions. Students of all the semesters are given fixed days for laundry practical. Laundry of Pune based hotels & the training hotel is given to this dept.
